Elysium (n.):
a place or state of ideal happiness, supreme bliss, or paradise.

In Greek myth, it was the place reserved for those who lived well - and it's the idea Villa Elysium was built on. Some views, after all, are worth crossing the world for. Set above the Ionian Sea near Parga, the villa is all warm stone, deep shade, and terraces that catch the last of the light. This isn't a house you rent. It's a place you return to, in memory, long after you've left.

A private paradise above the Ionian Sea. Villa Elysium - where Parga's golden light meets a home built for slowing down.

Villa
Elysium

Ten kilometres from Parga, in the quiet northwest corner of Greece, Villa Elysium sits above the Ionian in two acres of its own grounds - close enough to Sarakiniko's cove to wander down for an afternoon swim, far enough to feel like your own private stretch of coastline. The view does most of the talking: Corfu and Paxos drifting on the horizon, the sea changing colour through the day, the infinity pool seeming to spill straight into it. Every detail inside has been considered with the same care - a home built not for show, but for the slow, unhurried version of a holiday you didn't know you needed.

Living Spaces

The heart of the villa is an open-plan living and dining room, where glass doors pull back to fill the space with light. A fully equipped kitchen sits alongside  ready for a quick breakfast or, if the mood takes you, a proper Greek feast for everyone at the table.

Sleeping

Villa Elysium accommodates eight guests across four thoughtfully appointed bedrooms, each with its own en-suite. The master bedroom takes in panoramic views and pairs a super king bed with a walk-in shower and separate bath, along with its own covered patio - a quiet spot for morning coffee as the day breaks. A second king bedroom looks out over the pool to the sea beyond. A third, set toward the rear of the villa, offers a quieter, more secluded feel. The fourth is a twin room - its beds can be made up as a further double, should you need it.

Outside

Outside is where Villa Elysium really opens up. The infinity pool stretches out toward the sea, so the two seem to merge at the horizon - big enough for slow laps, or simply drifting. Loungers and shaded terraces surround it, made for slow afternoons and a glass of local wine as the light turns gold. When it's time to eat, the al fresco dining area - barbecue included - carries meals on into the evening, under the stars.

Nearby

Parga's harbour, restaurants, and seafront bars are ten minutes away, if you fancy the wander - the whole stretch is car-free, so evenings there have a slower, more sociable pace. But you won't need to go that far for a good meal: Sarakiniko and Agia both have tavernas of their own, closer to the villa and quieter with it.
